Players of the Day-Connor Hance  The singles final was well contested with long rallies, great angles and finishing shots!  Connor was just a little too good today and took home his first Gold Ball.  Congratulations to all the competitors!  Great job by our staff, volunteers and officials.  Now is time to get ready and make our 2012 tournament even better!

The finals of all singles draws will have a chair umpire.  The doubles finals and 3/4 playoff match will also have a chair umpire.

We will have racquet stringing offered by BigTime Tennis.  David Yamane has strung for professional events, NCAAs and the Wake Forest Men's Teams.  He offers a variety of stringing options.  The cost is $15 if you provide your own string.  He will be at Hanes Park throughout the tournament and his cell number is (336)302-8702.

For hotel reservations at the Hawthorne Inn please call (336)777-3000 and let reservations know you are with the Boys' 12s Clay Court Nationals for tournament rate which includes a hot breakfast.  The Hawthorne Inn is the official tournament hotel and will host many functions during the tournament.  In addition, the Hawthorne Inn is located within 5 minutes of the main site, Hanes Park.

Morning warmup courts for this week:  We will have 8 warmup clay courts at Hanes Park each day.  We will offer 2 sessions with one from 6:30-7:00 am followed by a 7:00-7:30 am session.  Sign ups will open at noon the day before with 4 players to a court and no coaches can take a spot.  We must have all players off the courts by 7:30 am in order to have the courts swept for 8:00 am play.  We will offer one warmup time at Tanglewood each day from 7:00 to 7:30 am.  The warmup at Tanglewood is only for the players that play at Tanglewood at 8:00 am and there will be four players to a court with no coaches allowed to take one of the four spots.

Vision Tennis Center(1421 Lewisville Clemmons Road, Clemmons, NC 27012) will serve as our clay court warmup facility after 8:00 am each day.  Players that wish to warmup after 8:00 am each day need to call (336)766-9195.  The cost is $16 per hour with a maximum of 4 players per court.  Vision Tennis Center will also serve as our indoor backup in case of rain during the tournament.

For the B12 National Championships, all East draw matches are the best of three tiebreak sets.  All other singles matches are the best of three tiebreak sets with a 10 point match tiebreak in lieu of a third set. All doubles matches are the best of three tiebreak sets with a 10 point match tiebreak in lieu of a third set EXCEPT for the finals, semi-finals and third-place playoff, which are the best of three tiebreak sets.
